The Junior League of Elizabeth-Plainfield awards scholarships annually to college-bound women who reside in Union County and demonstrate a passion for volunteerism.

We believe that volunteerism is a vital force in our community, and we support young women who share our passion by awarding scholarships to college-bound high school seniors who have demonstrated a commitment to volunteer activities.

To be considered for a scholarship, applicants are asked to complete the application form, write a 300-to-400-word essay about their volunteer experiences, and provide two letters of recommendation. The application form will be available each year in early February and can be obtained from your guidance office, by sending a request via email to scholarship@jlepnj.org, or by leaving a message with your address and/or email address at 908-709-1177. Applications are usually due the first week in April.

Our 2026 Scholarship applications are now available! We will be awarding four $4,000 scholarships in 2026. Please use the links below to access the documents. Applications are due by Monday, April 6th. Winners will be notified in early May, and invited to receive their scholarship in person at our annual awards diner on Wednesday, May 20th.
